UPDATE 2

 

 

Our Disaster Relief Team is responding and is on-the-ground meeting the needs of those affected by this catastrophic event. This is the time for the church to “be there” for others. We are preparing for long-term recovery assistance. Twenty-seven (27) Original Free Will Baptist Churches have registered to assist in recovery efforts.

 

*          Food teams served lunch – 4-21-11

*          Assessments being made – 4-22-11

 

*          Assessments completed

*          Coordinating with pastor of Symrna OFWB Church

 

*          Coordinating with churches in Pee Dee Conference

 

*          Contact made for clean-up

*          Roof to be replaced on two (2) barns

 

*          Minister’s home and members of Bethel OFWB Church homes-assessments

*          Follow-up in progress

 

 

Work areas and schedules are being developed, and volunteers will be notified.

 

 

In response to our NORTH CAROLINA APPEAL, we ask you to do the following:

 

1.  PRAY:   

     * for victims and their families in affected areas

     * for our Volunteer Work Teams as they deploy to assist

     * for your availability to serve

         

 2. DONATE:

     * funding is needed for fuel, food, supplies and undetermined expenses

 

 3. VERY IMPORTANT – If you would like to assist in recovery efforts, please contact us.  REMEMBER, it is necessary to follow proper protocol through your Harvest Connection Disaster Relief Ministry whereby we may properly serve people  who have been affected by this disaster.
