Touching Lives for a Lifetime

Thank you notes

To everyone who helped collect the items to make the hygiene kits, a very "big" thank you. We really appreciate receiving all the personal items. My co-worker brought some kits to work to share with us. There are 4 of us at work whose homes flooded. It's so nice to know others care enough about hurricane victims to send the necessities not readily available to us here. We do have some stores operating again which is a great help. Our road to recovery will be long, but it's people like you that make these days a little easier to face. -Lacombe, Louisiana

Again let me thank all of you folks for all the good deeds and help that you have provided us with during our disaster. You all have been such a blessing to so many people here in surrounding areas of Poplarville. -Poplarville, Mississippi
Our community is so blessed by all that your organization of Christian people has done. Words cannot express how touched we are and how much it has helped after the disaster of Hurricane Katrina. Thanks and may God bless each and every one of you.-Hickory Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Poplarville, Mississippi
I'm glad God brought all of you into my life. Though the circumstances were a bit unusual, I just wanted to say thanks for the work you did for me and the friendship with everyone from North Carolina. Each one was sent by God to Sandersville, MS. The food and fellowship at the Thanksgiving lunch was great and enjoyed by everyone. -Heidelberg, Mississippi
I wanted to say thank you for the kitchen items and bedroom items that were greatly needed as I moved into my FEMA trailer after Hurricane Katrina. These trying times are bearable thanks to the kindness and words of hope from our many "angels" sent by God to help the Waveland, Mississippi community. May God bless each of you!-Waveland, Mississippi
On behalf of The Free Press Newspaper in Education (NIE) Literacy Program and the Lenoir County Unit of the NC Retired School Personnel, thank you so much for transporting our books and teacher supplies to Ocean Springs, Mississippi School District - Hurricane Katrina recover efforts. This school district which consists of four K-4 schools, one 5th grade school, one middle school, and one high school lost over $700,000.00 worth of school library books during the hurricane. We were able to send them over 4,000 books and quite a bit of supplies for their teachers. We could not have done it without you!!!! Thank you for joining us in this endeavor. Little becomes much when we put it all together.-Lenoir County Retired School Personnel
To our friends at Harvest Connection:Thank you for your generous gift to my family. I am blessed to be a part of a denomination who cares for its people. God has been so faithful to us. Our prayer is that He will continue to bless the ministry of Harvest Connection.-Davis, North Carolina

Thank you ... To all the folks at Home Missions and Free Will Baptists. Because of the wrath of Hurricane Katrina, I came to receive one of your health and hygiene kits. It was most useful. You included a personal note which made this gift special. Again, "thank you." I am 66 years old. In less than 8 hours, I lost everything I ever owned. 'Thank God, my life was spared and the lives of all my family members. Special thanks to all of you for your prayers and gifts. May you never know the pain we suffer.-Bay St. Louis, Mississippi
Dear Friends in Christ, I want to write you as a whole church to thank you for the help you and yours gave to the thousands of us you helped after Katrina. I've never seen such a sight as the care that was given to all the people. Thank you all for the way you treated each one. God bless you all.-Stonewall, Mississippi
Know that many people in western North Carolina will have a happier Christmas this year, as you showed all of us what the Spirit of Christmas really is - giving in love. You gave so much and we are all very grateful! Know that we are lifting up in prayer and thanksgiving at this special and wonderful Christmas season, those of you who helped. - United Methodist Disaster Response Center, Waynesville District, Clyde, North Carolina
